Application Document Submission Guidelines

Please check the required admission documents on the Korean Language Center website and submit the original admission documents by mail or in person to the Office of Korean Language Center (Room 301, Korean Education Building).
- For applicants from China/Taiwan: All of applicants
- For applicants of other nationalities: Applicants who wish to receive a Certificate of Admission (COA) for Student Visa (D-4-1) application

The admission screening process will begin only after the online application submission, payment of the application fee,
and submission of the original admission documents are all completed within the application period.
The original documents must arrive at the Korean Language Center office at least two weeks before the application deadline.
Late document submission may result in ineligibility for admission for the intended semester.

ㅇ Documents issued in languages other than Korean, English, or Chinese must be translated into Korean or English and notarized before submission.
ㅇ Additional documents may be requested during the screening process.
ㅇ Submitted documents are non-refundable, regardless of admission results.

Privacy Policy

1. Purpose of Collection and Use: The minimum necessary personal information is collected and used to provide better services to applicants for the Korean Language Center at Korea University.
Personal information will not be used for any other purposes, and if the purpose of use changes, prior notice will be given. The personal information of applicants will be checked for admissions purposes, including educational background, work experience,
qualifications, and licenses. It will also be used for visa applications, management of residence in Korea, student insurance applications, grade management, tuition refund processing, scholarship management, library card issuance, and dormitory applications.

2. Basis for Collection: Foreign Student Management Guidelines (Ministry of Education), Immigration Control Act Article 19, Paragraph 4, Immigration Control Act Enforcement Decree Article 24, Paragraph 8.

3. List of Information Collected: (1) Personal Identification Information: Name, Date of Birth, Nationality, Gender, Alien Registration Number, Passport Number, Address, Phone Number, Email Address, Photo, Visa Type, Visa Expiry Date
(2) Educational Background: Middle School Grades, High School Grades, Undergraduate and Graduate or equivalent education, Enrollment Period, Major
(3) Work Experience: Company Name, Department, Job Title, Employment Period, Phone Number
(4) Other Information: Application Form, Personal Statement and Academic Purpose, Financial (Sponsor) Documents, Bank Account Copy, Educational Background, Admission Year and Semester for the Korean Language Center, and all details recorded in attendance and grades.

4. Retention Period: All collected personal information will be stored permanently within the scope required for verification during the admissions process.
